October

4 – Parent to Parent Coffee, 8:30am
Class of 2023 and 2024 Kindergarten Parents are invited for a conversation with Alum Parents about the Kindergarten year and what to expect during the applying to first grade process.

Alum parents will share their experiences with the Greene Towne Kindergarten year, the applying to first grade process, and the transition to new schools.

Geared towards parent of our older students but open to all Greene Towne parents. This event will be live streamed, but not recorded.

6-26 – Teacher Coffees for Parents, 8:15am
Happening throughout October, morning coffees are group meetings where teachers answer questions about the classroom in general, inform parents about the Montessori philosophy, and share tips and suggestions for home.

12 – Parent Education Workshop: A Day in the Life of a GTMS Child
Join us as we discuss how GTMS creates a supportive classroom climate to help students to feel emotionally safe, part of a community, motivated, and challenged while recognizing and managing emotions, being a good friend, controlling impulses, communicating effectively, and working with others.

18 – GPA (Greene Towne Parent Association) Meeting, 8:30am
Every parent is welcome to attend the GPA meeting! Meetings are in person and virtual.
