Administrative Assistant/PM Receptionist(12:00pm-6:00pm, year round position)

Greene Towne Montessori School is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Administrative Assistant / PM Receptionist of Greene Towne Montessori School. The Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the School’s Senior Administration and is the receptionist for the school daily from 4:00-6:00 pm. This person is detail oriented, a people person, works well in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable using and designing systems for the efficient flow of school life.

• Qualifications: Transferable experience in educational or non-profit settings preferred. Highly developed organizational skills and superior communication skills, both oral and written. Outstanding interpersonal skills are essential. Exercise utmost confidentiality and professional discretion. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks while maintaining a positive attitude. Ability to work as a self-starting individual and in a team environment. Experience using Microsoft Office suite, Google Suite, and basic tech troubleshooting skills. Familiarity with databases a plus.

Primary Montessori Assistant Teacher (ages 3-6)

Primary Assistant Teacher: 7:45 am-3:00 pm, September-June. Greene Towne Montessori School is seeking candidates for the position of a Primary (ages 3-6) Assistant Teacher. The Primary Assistant will assist the Montessori Lead Teacher in the classroom. Duties include supporting children in their learning, helping to maintain a beautiful Montessori environment, adhering to Department of Human Services Standards, maintenance and upkeep of the classroom, support with cooking, crafts and other projects with the children. The Primary Assistant will help our students to become more independent and capable people.

  • Qualifications: Early Childhood teaching experience required; Montessori experience is preferred. Montessori Primary Lead Teacher, Family Leave Substitute

Greene Towne Montessori School is seeking qualified candidates for the position of a Primary Lead Teacher to lead the classroom from September-December 2025, while the lead teacher is on Family Leave.

The Primary Lead Teacher will:

  • Plan and deliver high fidelity Montessori instruction to approximately 20 3-6-year-old students
  • Provide a nurturing and caring space for students and a well-managed classroom environment
  • Develop lesson plans and maintain daily records of children’s activities and progress
  • Work closely with the Assistant Teacher (with support from the Montessori Director) and meet with them regularly to discuss classroom work and goals,
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills for:
    • Regular, proactive communication with families throughout the school year
    • Presenting parent education talks according to GTMS’s parent education series schedule
    • Host one informational parent coffee event in the fall
    • Write conference reports and conduct parent teacher conferences in November
  • Qualifications: Montessori Early Childhood Certification (MACTE), 4-year college degree or higher, five or more years of experience in a Primary Montessori environment preferred. Greene Towne Montessori School is seeking individuals that have a love for children, possess a growth-mindset, are organized self-starters, are a team player and are flexible and sensitive to the needs that arise in the life of an active school. Experience with Transparent Classroom and Google Suite helpful.
  • This temporary position does not offer health plan, retirement, or other benefits, beyond personal/wellness paid days off and school holidays.
