How does the Annual Auction support Greene Towne?
The Annual Auction raises important funds for Greene Towne. Proceeds support financial aid, professional development, Montessori teacher training, Montessori classroom materials, and additional programming which enriches the Greene Towne learning experience and community.
What does the evening entail?
This adults-only party is our biggest event of the year. Come enjoy a fun night out and this year, we will be aboard the Moshulu, where you can enjoy the views of the river from the top deck! Enjoy delicious drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and spirited bidding on an array of exciting packages and experiences, capped off with the highlight of the night – bidding on the fabulous student artwork! The Live Auction is hosted by our auctioneer and long-time partner, Tom McCabe of Freeman’s Auction House.
Is there an Auction Program?
Each year we produce an 8 1/2 x 11″, full color Auction Program and yearbook for Greene Towne. It includes images and details of each classroom artwork and the Kindergarten artwork, along with class photos, candids and tribute ads. Every GTMS family receives an Auction Program/Yearbook free of charge. Attendees receive it at the Live Auction on May 12th, and all others receive it the week following the auction.

Purchase a Ticket!
All proceeds from ticket sales directly support Greene Towne’s operating expenses – allowing us to absorb unforeseen costs throughout the year, as well as embrace unexpected opportunities. We are grateful for your support!
Join the Auction Committee! We need help with Auction set-up and clean-up, auction item procurement, transporting the art to the Gallery Walk and Auction, and more! We are grateful for any time and assistance you might offer. We will scale it to the time you have available.

Sports event tickets, outings, travel and culinary experiences, liquor and restaurant gift certificate packages are all popular auction items. We welcome donations and appreciate your support.
