This is my school, my place to work and play

My friends and I, we come here every day

Washing a table and polishing a cup

Every day we’re growing up

We care for our work so lovingly

Here we are, a community

These past weeks have brought us to where we are, a beautiful working community! The children are truly enjoy getting to know each other, including Ms. Jen and Ms. Sara and their students.

The work cycle is at the heart of a child’s learning journey in the Montessori environment. They have lessons to learn how materials are used, yes, but then the world is their oyster. I love looking back on the snapshots of these wonderful individuals engaged in their chosen activities, surrounded by others doing the same. It’s a real glimpse of peace.

I’m looking forward to all of you being able to log in for observations soon. Keep in mind that even if your child is involved in some seemingly less-than-epic activity (though when you are just 3 or 4 or 5, just about everything is still pretty epic), you also get to observe our whole classroom environment, which is made for them. Ms. Nicole Leapheart, pictured above during a delightful circle time visit, will most likely be the one behind the camera. Until then, look for more photos and progress that I will be adding to Transparent Classroom. Joyous Diwali, Happy Halloween, and Happy Fall!
