March in Willow – Ms Jen and Ms Sara

Hello Parents!

Spring has sprung! Your children have grown! They looked so much taller and older to us upon returning from Spring Break. It has been nice to have sunshine on the play deck. Speaking of sun, we hope you enjoyed the solar eclipse and the glasses we sent home.

What is happening now that it is getting close to the end of the year? Lots of socialization! The children and comfortable in our environment and confident in themselves and their relationships with others. They are organizing themselves into small groups and creating similar things with paper, scissors, staplers, and colored pencils. They are taking turns being the leader and the follower. Also, lots and lots of reading by the Kindergarteners. All of our Kindergarteners are reading books, independently. And last but not least, children are giving lessons to one another. The children giving the lessons aren’t always the Kindergarteners. Sometimes a younger friend gives a lesson to an older friend. We are a hive of activity, learning new things along the way.
