How can you translate your individual or business PA state taxes into a charitable gift to Greene Towne that supports financial aid for our students?

It’s easy through the PA Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) and Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit programs (OSTC). You’ll receive a 90% tax credit for your two year commitment or a 75% tax credit for a one year commitment!

I’m delighted to virtually introduce you to four of Greene Towne’s trustees and parents, Natalie Nagele, Alberta Brennan, Tracy Dowling and Scott Deitz who joined Sarah Sweeney-Denham, Nicole Leapheart and me recently for a recorded Zoom discussion about EITC/OSTC and how it works for their families. Natalie, Alberta, Tracy and Scott all participate in the EITC program and share personal insights about the business and individual programs, the application process, and the charitable and tax benefits.

Please watch the video and see below for additional info on how you can participate, too.

Please click here for the video transcript.

We are happy to answer your questions and help you with the easy application process. Please call or email me to discuss further. I am also happy to connect you with Natalie, Alberta, Tracy and Scott for further guidance.

Warmly,

Bonnie Clark

Further resources

Click here for a flyer that summarizes the application steps.

1) The Central Pennsylvania Scholarship Fund where you can sign a joinder agreement to participate through an SPE, direct your gift to Greene Towne, and receive individual EITC tax credits. We will directly connect you with the Director Tami Clark when you are ready, to help facilitate your participation. Here is their website to learn more.

Here is a sample of the joinder agreement. If you decide to participate, we will provide a joinder agreement to you for an SPE with available credits. You do not have to do any legwork to find an SPE on your own. We do this for you so will have everything you need to sign up when you’re ready.

2) The PA Department of Community and Economic Development (PA DCED)  website with the application materials for business participation in the EITC program. First time business applications are due on July 1, 2021 (not before or after). Renewing businesses apply on May 15th.  Begin to review the process now and think about questions you may have. We are happy to help!

3) Finally, the PA DCED website with materials for business participation in the OSTC (Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit program).

Thank you very much for your interest in directing your PA tax dollars to benefit Greene Towne’s students and our financial aid program!
