Our chicks have arrived! Farmer Tim from Quiver Farms visited on Monday, May 8th. He brought Ruby the hen and Max the rooster for us to meet. He left us 12 of their eggs to care for. We rotated the eggs 3 times a day, for one week, while they stayed warm in the incubator. When we arrived at school this Monday, May 15th, the chicks were hatching! All 12 were healthy and hatched by the end of the day. We are spending this week watching and holding our fluffy baby cheepers. (Not every child has a picture. Some children did not want to hold a chick.)
