One month in Primary ADM

September sure did fly by at Greene Towne, and so much has happened! Old friends reconnected, new friends were made, and we’ve all learned so much. The twelve new children who joined us a month ago are already an essential part of our community, and it’s been amazing to watch the older ones help them clean up their lunches, teach them how to wash their dishes after snack, and even give them lessons on Sandpaper Letters. We have a lot of literal siblings in our class this year, but even more big brothers and sisters of no relation – taking great care to show their younger friends the way.

Lessons on the Bells from last year have blossomed into playing songs on the piano, and similarly, lessons on the Moveable Alphabet are helping transform ADM Primary students into authors of their own stories, reports, journals, and joke books.

Other highlights from our first month were Show and Tell, Birthday Circles, Movement with Mr. Julian, a Kindergarten trip to the firehouse, and getting the fish tank ready for our soon-to-be classroom pets.
