Hi All,
It seems like April has flown by! We have enjoyed playing outside more (even though the pollen has kicked into gear), learning about plants, and enjoying each other’s company. Read through the information below and enjoy the photos from April.
Cooking
The children have shown more interest in food—what it tastes like, what it smells like, what it looks like inside if you cut it open? It’s a Sensorial experience, but also through cooking, the children are:
- Learning about and naming ingredients (Language)
- Refining their fine motor skills by using utensils to mix ingredients (Practical Life)
- Counting and measuring out ingredients (Math)
- They are also learning about nutrition, allergies, and science concepts of the cause and effect of mixing ingredients.
