Happy New Year Parents!

I hope everyone had an enjoyable holiday season. The children all seem to have grown in the past two weeks and are even more confident.

December is always a festive and  exciting month for us, with lots of fun activities. The children enjoyed all the seasonal art projects, especially the Reindeer and Dreidel crafts.

“What are you doing?” Is the question I am hearing quite often. The children are in a period where they are enjoying learning and are very curious about what the adults are doing. Even if it’s just cutting a fruit, take the time to answer their simple questions, they are asking because they don’t know. This also helps develop language skills.

“The child has a type of mind that absorbs knowledge and instructs himself.”
Maria Montessori, The Absorbent Mind

Holiday crafts

The children painted the brick wall that was used to decorate the classroom door.

Henry’s family sent in Asians pears that the children loved tasting.

Mr. Patrick’s Kindergarteners, who are also siblings and former toddlers, came to read to us.

Here are a few more photos to enjoy!
