This week families received a letter from Head of School Sarah Sweeney-Denham where she shared detailed information about Greene Towne’s updated protocols for health and safety. The most recent Health and Safety Plan can be found here.

Thanks to the vigilance and care of our families and staff, we have been able to prioritize in-person learning. We are sharing our important procedures for arrival so that we can continue to do so. As always, we are grateful for your patience, cooperation, and understanding.

Procedures for Arrival

  • Every child is checked in to the database as they arrive. This is a general but important safety precaution. Please give us a moment before we open the doors to complete the check. Children are checked in as “Present” for school.
  • Health Screening must be done BEFORE arriving to school. Children may not enter the building without a completed health screening completed at mygtms.org. It is imperative that this be shared with any partners, caregivers, grandparents, etc. Families will be asked to wait outside until the screening is complete.
  • Keep the arrival line moving in a safe way. Help us be good neighbors during arrival and dismissal by keeping the nearby driveways clear. Please be a good friend and keep your spot in line, being sure not to cut off the line of cars waiting for a space.
  • You are welcome to drop off your stroller but we may intermittently close the door. Please excuse us if we shut the door between the time your child enters the building and when you enter the building to drop off your stroller. Quite often the wind tunnels created by downtown buildings create very cold conditions for staff at the front doors.
  • Children are marked tardy if they arrive after 9am. Arrival is between 8 and 9am. Staff must be prioritized to be in the classroom starting at 9am. At North, all arrivals after 9am must be done at the Wood Street entrance.

Thank you!
