Hi All,

Happy New Year! It seems like we brought in 2023 so long ago. Hope you enjoyed your holiday festivities and are now getting into the 2023 groove. Your child has definitely been grooving! To see what we have been up to this past month, check out the information and pictures below!

Valentine’s Day Tradition

It has been a tradition in the Toddler Program to donate a book to your child’s classroom. Please know that we do not expect a donation, but we just wanted to share how we celebrate Valentine’s Day. Each teacher makes a list of desired books, and adults may choose to purchase a book from the list. If you wish to participate, we included a link to our list, and please know that you can donate a book that is not included on that list. If you donate a book, please write an inscription on the inside of the book with your child’s name and the year. When reading books at Circle, we always read the inscription.

Click here to view our list: Toddler ADM Valentine’s Day Book List.

*Due to the move, our 2121 Arch St address will not be accepting packages past February 10th. Feel free to have the book sent to your house then bring into school.

Care of the Environment: Window Washing

A special shoutout to Ms. Michelle for putting this work together for our children! It has been a big hit! Window Washing is a Practical Life activity that can easily be replicated in your home. Your child uses a spray bottle, squeegee, and washcloth. If there are any extra smudges on the window, your child also uses a scrub brush. Your child is exercising their gross motor skills by making big arm movements to squeeze the trigger lever to spray the water all over the whole window. They are doing this all while balancing and making sure they do not fall over.

Your child also has to practice self-control and self-discipline. Once the skill of squeezing the trigger lever has been mastered, spraying water can be fun. The self-control and self-discipline comes in by your child understanding that this activity holds a lot of responsibility in caring for our environment. The spray bottle is not for spraying other children because water is fun, but rather that it’s to clean the window.

Chinese New Year: Year of the Rabbit

In honor of the Lunar New Year, the children learned what it means to spend time with family, wear the color red, the Lion Dancers during the parade. We always enjoy celebrating and learning about a variety of cultural celebrations.

It’s Not Goodbye, It’s See You Later

We are reaching the end of our Cozy Plan. Even though we are excited for our new environment, we are going to miss Ms. Michelle’s class. These past few months have been amazing forming bonds with Ms. Michelle, Ms. Sarah, Teacher Marissa, and their class. Once we are all settled, we are happy to find opportunities for us to write letters to each other or visit. Thank you Ms. Michelle, Ms. Sarah, Teacher Marissa, and friends!
