It’s officially Spring! This time of year is always so rewarding because all of the time we have put into reinforcing rules and routines, are now playing itself out! The children have been stepping up into leadership roles by giving lessons to their peers, providing a warm welcome to our new friends, and taking care of our environment. Socializing in Spring

The children have been displaying desire to socialize with each other or adults. As the weather is getting nicer, you can start to connect with one another outside! Other ways to help with your child’s desire to socialize are picking an early evening activity to do together for special one-on-one time, such as playing at the playground or going to the Philadelphia Zoo. Here are some other outdoor activities throughout Philadelphia:

• Playdates with neighbors or classmates
• Walk up and down the Art Museum steps
• Sister Cities Park
• Three Bears Park
• Seger Park
• Play-A-Palooza at Smith Playground from 12pm-4pm (TOMORROW; Saturday, March 25th)
• Cherry Blossom Festival at the Horticultural Center and Centennial Arboretum from 10:30am-4pm (Saturday, April 15th and Sunday, April 16th)
• Rothman Orthopedics Rollerink at Dilworth Park (starting April 21st)

Auction Project

We are finished with our Auction Project! The children have been so excited to create and collaborate on it. Unfortunately, you will not be able to see the finished project just yet. All we are going to say is, “BEAR!” You can enjoy our masterpiece in person at Greene Towne’s Gallery Walk on Saturday, May 6th from 9am-12pm at Sister Cities Park, as well as the 37th Annual Auction “Ride the Greene Towne Wave” on Friday, May 12th.
