Welcome to our new classroom!

Your children are settling in quite nicely.

Those children who started in September have already begun making connections with their new classmates and showing them the ropes of the routine. With each passing school day their footsteps move down the hall with more ease in anticipation to explore their new classroom.

School Bus Sighting

For circle time, we read and sing about cars and other vehicles often. School buses are a frequent topic of this and “The Wheels on the Bus” is a regular circle time song. You can imagine the delight when your children had an up close sighting of a school bus right outside our window passing by our building.

Story Books

Here are a few books with a transportation theme that we keep in rotation for story time. Freight Train by Don Crews is our most requested story book and the inspiration behind our auction project.

Paint, Stamp and Print!

We have begun work on our auction art piece. Here is a sneak peek at a few children, painting, stamping and printing with shaving cream as a part of the process. Stay tuned for the more details on this project in the coming months.

Guacamole time!

Each month we will share a recipe that we have done together in the classroom. This month we made guacamole which is by far a classroom favorite. The children mashed the avocados, crushed some sea salt and squeezed a few limes.
