Dear Greene Towne Parents,

Welcome to our blog wrapping up the last months of 2020. Many thanks for your patience as we dealt with all of the obstacles of these recent months. I hope that each of you got to enjoy spending some extra time with close family during the winter break. The holidays looked very different this year, but what an opportunity to acknowledge how grateful we are for the people closest to us.

We have missed everyone over winter break so much and it is wonderful to be able to be back together in the classroom. Our students returned to school as if they had not missed a day. The new work on the shelves has been keeping everyone very busy and, as we keep developing additional measures to remain safe and sanitary, I am optimistic that our classroom will continue to be a healthy learning environment.

Looking back on November and December, it feels as though we were on a rollercoaster ride. However, the challenges of virtual learning were met by each student with such adaptability, curiosity, and enthusiasm that one just has to marvel at what our group is made of. Having experienced that illuminates that these children are capable of anything and that (pandemic or no pandemic) they will continue to amaze us with their abilities. This provides tremendous hope not just for the remaining school year, but for the future at a distance.

We hope you will enjoy looking back on some of the work we’ve done and the celebrations we’ve shared over the past few months. These photos are especially powerful now – it can be difficult to pinpoint any one moment when riding a rollercoaster! These photos remind us that all the while, the children in our class have stayed true to their internal missions of growth and exploration. As we remember these moments, we look forward to 2021 and wish each and every one of you a new year full of love, health, and new milestones!

Warmly,

Mr. Patrick and Mrs. Buonadonna
