Hi All,

It’s Spring! At least we think it is. The weather has been showing us otherwise. This time of year is always so rewarding because all of the time we have put into reinforcing rules and routines are now playing itself out! Now is the time that if you were to walk past our environment, you would see the adults sitting down observing and taking in all of the precious moments. The children are having more in depth conversations with each other, stepping up into leadership roles by giving lessons to their peers, and transitioning into underwear. Read through the information below and enjoy the photos from March.

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Thank you so much for taking the time to meet with us! Olivia and I enjoyed discussing all of the wonderful milestones your child has overcome. If anything comes up that you would like to talk more about, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Toddler ADM Adult Alternative Breaks

The Toddler ADM staff will begin taking their alternative Spring Breaks, which is a week-long alternative vacation outside the School Day Spring Break. Below, you will see a list of our breaks. This way, you can talk about it with your child and know what is happening at school. Summer breaks will follow shortly and we will let you know when those are happening as well. Mr. Ricky and Ms. Madison will be subbing in our classroom throughout April. Mr. Ricky is an Auxiliary Assistant at our North campus. Ms. Madison has been subbing with Greene Towne since the start of the school year. The children know them both well. Here are the adult breaks for April:

  • Teacher Naoki: April 11-15
  • Ms. Naeemah: April 11-15
  • Ms. Dominique: April 18-22
  • Ms. Leniece: April 25-29
  • Ms. Olivia and Ms. Hanna: already went on break

Socializing in Spring

From what we have observed, the children have been displaying a strong desire to socialize with their peers or adults, which has been limited due to the pandemic. As the weather is getting nicer and the area’s transmission rates are decreasing, we can get back to connecting with one another another outside for masked playdates or other fun outdoor activities. This is all with the proper safety practices. Other ways to help with your child’s desire to socialize are picking an early evening activity to do together for special one-on-one time, such as playing at the playground, going to the see the Cherry Blossoms, visiting the Philadelphia Zoo for the Festival of Colors, and planting flowers for Earth Week.

Auction Project

We have started our Auction Project! The children have been so excited to create and collaborate on this year’s project. Unfortunately, you will not be able to see the finished project just yet. All we are going to say is, “Just Keep Swimming.” You can enjoy our masterpiece in person at Greene Towne’s Gallery Walk on May 14th at Sister Cities Park from 9:30am-Noon, as well as the 36th Annual Auction “Every Little Thing is Going to Be All Right” on May 20th.
