Silent Auction Bidding starts at 9AM on March 11th!

Welcome to the bidding overview for Greene Towne’s 34th Annual Auction! Whether you’re bidding in person at World Cafe Live or remotely, we want your participation in the silent auction to be a smooth experience. With over 140 packages and items available, there is something for everyone!

New this year, GTMS is partnering with GiveSmart for our Auction platform. This is an exciting change for us and presents more options in the bidding process!

Registering to Bid

For Attendees: You will set up your bid registration when you purchase your tickets. You will receive a welcome text after your purchase and registration is complete.

Please note that if you are purchasing multiple tickets, you are only registering yourself to bid. Other auction attendees will need to register separately in order to bid.

For Remote Bidders: You can register to bid online without purchasing tickets. From the Auction website gtms2020.givesmart.com, click on “Register Now” under “Sign Up to Participate” and follow the registration process. You will receive a welcome text after registration is complete.

For all bidders: When the silent auction begins, you will receive a text from GiveSmart with access to a personal bidding center. Please do not share that link with other people as it is tied to your registration and credit card information!

Setting up an Auto-Bid

Through the mobile bidding platform and GiveSmart website, you will have the option to set up an auto-bid. Auto-bid enables you to set a price ceiling on items and if you are outbid, your bid will be automatically be raised to the next incremental bid. Each item will have a different minimum raise that you can view on its page. The auto-bid process will continue until you hit your price ceiling. You will have the option to opt-in to a higher bid if you are outbid after hitting your price ceiling if you so wish!

Buy It Now Items

New this year, we will have a limited stock of items including swag to show off your GTMS pride! These items do not require a bid; instead, you will be able to purchase them immediately. This year’s buy it now items are sweatshirts, beanies, and tumblers. Purchasers will be notified via e-mail when items are ready for pickup the week following the Auction.

Closing Bids

New this year, at the end of the auction, certain items will feature an extended close. Any items that have been bid on within 90 seconds prior to the close of the silent auction will extend beyond close for 90 seconds. These items will continue to be open until no bid has been placed within the last 90 seconds. 

Once items are closed, you will receive a notification from GiveSmart alerting you that you’ve won! You will be able to pay for your items via GiveSmart and expedite the check-out process. 

Claiming Your Items

At the end of the live auction, please stop by check-out where Christina and/or Bonnie will be available to help you pick up your winnings! Check-out will be open at the bottom of the steps prior to exiting World Cafe Live. 

Any items not picked up will be returned to GTMS and will not be available for pickup until Monday, March 16th. Please come prepared to bring your items home on event night!
