Hello Parents,

As we reflect on a wonderful school year now past, here are a few highlights of our time together in 2022-2023.

Family

You are all the core inspiration and play a huge part in building community within our classroom. Your lovely family photos helped with this and served as good conversation starters. The pictures were hung up around the classroom. The children were delighted to talk about their memories as captured in the photographs including trips they took with you and where they were when posing for the pictures. This was a rare opportunity for them to see their classmates with their families as well, allowing all to make connections with each other in a new way.

Butterfly Wings!

Each year we end our time together with a butterfly send-off. For our final circle time, the children received their wings and headed off to recess for some free play and a dance party.

Nothing gives us more joy in the work we do as teachers than to walk beside your children, even for a short time in their lives, as they progress in their steps toward independence.

Every year invites a new adventure. Some children will join us for a second year in toddler, some will make the move to primary and a few are moving away. 

Goodbyes are not easy and feel so final. Instead we shall say “farewell butterflies!”
