We had an incredible 41 families signed up for Greene Towne’s Day of Service in honor of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.! Birthday Boxes were assembled and decorated, full of all the necessities for a family to throw a birthday party for their child: cake mix, frosting, candles, decorations, a book and a small gift, and a birthday card. The boxes will be given to Turning Points for Children, an organization that helps children and families in need. Our birthday boxes not only give a birthday party to a child who may not otherwise have one, but they also give a family the ability to do something special for their child.
A special thanks to the GPA, the Community Service sub-committee, especially co-chairs Liv Lee and Belinda Huang. Thank you to Maria Meredith for the great photos.
