Dear Greene Towne Parents,
With all that keeps us busy throughout the school year, It is easy to forget just how crammed with special events the last few months are! This past week has been a particularly lively one. We recently received an incubator and a dozen eggs from Quiver Farms and this past Monday, ALL of them hatched! We welcomed twelve adorable little yellow chicks into our classroom and took care of them throughout the week. This annual tradition is such a special treat for our students and even if our resters find them a little annoying at times (they can get pretty loud), we’re all sad to see them go. We are, however, just about ready to welcome in some new wildlife to our classroom. Today we assembled a beautiful terrarium together to house our new pet snake, who we will be naming Pretzel – we are in Philly, after all. Everyone is so very excited to welcome Pretzel in, especially those who were so fond of Hoagie (the Corn Snake) – who has since moved up to First Grade. I’m looking forward to these last few weeks of school being extra special for everyone in our environment and I hope your child is sharing with you some of the joyful moments we’ve all been enjoying lately.
Warmly,
Mr. Patrick and Mrs. Buonadonna
