On Monday morning we completed the third and final crane lift of materials onto the roof deck. This load included the parts for the new climber, lighting and light poles, pieces for the retractable shade structure, picnic tables and benches. An electrician is onsite this week installing electrical and lighting. Separate assemblers are coming to work on the climbing and shade structure. Once the work is complete, L & I will do one final inspection prior to our being permitted to use the space. We expect to be ready to play within two weeks!
Faculty and staff have begun ironing out the logistics, schedules, and safety guidelines for transitioning our recess times for all 11 classrooms to the new roofdeck. Toddler classes are very excited to return to an all-toddler recess time, as we enjoyed in the courtyard at the West Campus.
