Sarah Shares: They Can Do It!

Three simple, small scenes from this morning (January 5, 2023) that are really quite big in their significance:

  • A Greene Towne mom tells me that her son, an older toddler in his first year at Greene Towne, is “so Montessori” that he walks through their house saying to himself, “I can do it. I can do it!”
  • A first year Primary student shares his picture with me: “It’s actually a system. It has lots of different colors because they show you what each part does. What this system does is helps plants to GROW.”
  • A Kindergartner finds a drawing on the floor and works hard to find and return it to its owner, asking each of his classmates if it is theirs.
  • A second year Primary student lightly rests her hand on my shoulder to get my attention. She shows me the vase of flowers she cut and arranged as part of her morning work cycle, to help make the classroom beautiful. She tells me I can take it to the lobby to share with Ms. Deb and Ms. Eileen (who LOVED them!).

Our students are confident thinkers who are making their world a better place each day. We can all look forward to a future with these caring problem solvers sharing their gifts in the world!
