Fall is in full swing here at Greene Towne and the students are settled in and steadily moving along in their work. Here you will see a collaboration between our Kindergarten students in the World Around Us class. Our first few classes were focused on grace and courtesy in which we practiced how to introduce ourselves, greet one another, and check in on how each other are feeling. We also discussed what it means to be part of a community and a good neighbor. That led to the creation of our “Treatment Agreement Quilt.”

Each student designed their own “Identity Square” representative of themselves, their interests, and their place within our shared community. Together the children came up with ways in which they’d like to be treated and how to treat others in kind. These were all combined together on this beautiful, colorful quilt in celebration of the social emotional learning we are striving towards each and every day!
