Earth Week (April 20 – 24) is a special time at Greene Towne. The entire school participates in a variety of activities throughout the week.

FOR PRIMARY AND LOWER ELEMENTARY CLASSES
Students will engage in outdoor planting activities and a take home project.
For our take home planting project: Please send in at least one clean, pint-sized food container with a lid by Thursday, April 16. These are the round containers that you may have from take out, hummus, shredded cheese, ricotta, cottage cheese, etc. There is a collection bin in the front lobby.
Outside activities:
- A take home planting project using the repurposed pint-sized containers you send in.
- Our perennial favorite, worm sorting!
- Planting seeds, herbs, and perennials on our roof deck garden
- Setting up new worm bins!
Kindergartners and Lower Elementary students will also learn about trees and tend to some of our neighborhood street trees, helping prepare them for the hot summer months ahead.

FOR TODDLERS
Toddlers will work in their classrooms with Ms. Erika to plant a special treat to watch grow and eat at home. Please send in a clean, half-pint sized food containers with lids by Thursday, April 16.
