On January 10, our school community came together for Get Moving for GTMS, a fitness fundraiser organized by Arena Fitness in partnership with Greene Towne to kick off our Annual Auction & Social fundraising. It was an energizing afternoon filled with movement, connection, and lots of fun — all in support of our school.
The class was sold out, with over 30 parents participating, and raised more than $2,000 for GTMS. These funds will go toward tuition assistance, professional development, classroom materials, and school facilities, helping support students, teachers, and the broader school community.
Beyond the fundraising success, the afternoon had such a great vibe. Parents enjoyed the chance to move their bodies, catch up with one another, and enjoy a little time away, made possible thanks to the school providing childcare during the class.
Thank you to Tiffany, GTMS parent and co-owner of Arena Fitness, for so generously donating the class and facilities. Thank you as well to Amanda Reath, Director of Development, and the Greene Towne staff for organising the event and making childcare available so parents could fully enjoy the experience. And a special shout-out to our Lower Elementary students, who prepared healthy yogurt and fruit snacks for parents to enjoy after the session — such a thoughtful touch!
Lastly, a huge thank you to all the amazing parents who came out, purchased a ticket, and moved their bodies! We so appreciate you.
This event was a wonderful reminder of how special our community is when we come together. There will be more opportunities to connect and have fun with our vibrant GTMS community at the Greene Towne Montessori School 40th Annual Auction on May 15, 2026 — we hope to see many of you there!
