The first Lunch Around the World of the school year celebrated South Korea, India, and Bangladesh! Lunches Around the World are designed for families to celebrate their culture or a culture they are familiar with through food and activities. Joined by the Lower Elementary students, the Kindergarteners enjoyed a menu with an array of foods to try! From South Korea: Gim Bap, Japchae, Tteokbokki, and Korean pears. From India and Bangladesh: Chicken Biryani, Daal, Paratha, Lentil fritter, and mango. The students also had activities at their tables and were read a book about a Korean folktale.
Many thanks to the hosting families and volunteers that came. We can’t have Lunch Around the World without you!
Enjoy the photos.
