The Annual GTMS Food Drive is Next Week!

This year our Food Drive will benefit Philadelphia’s SHARE Food Program.  Philadelphia SHARE provides nutritious food to a network of 505 food cupboards and 100 host organizations each month.  In addition to providing emergency food relief, SHARE also runs a community garden, providing residents in the surrounding community with increased access to local produce.  Last year, SHARE brought 27 million pounds of emergency food relief to low-income Philadelphia residents facing hunger. 

The GTMS Food Drive will run from November 12th-16th.  Please bring non-perishable food items to donation boxes located at the school entrances (East or West).  Donations of baby food and pouches are always in demand.  Canned fish or beans, peanut butter and shelf-stable milk are also great donations.  Once the Food Drive is over, our Kindergarteners will help sort the donations. 

Your donations are greatly appreciated by many Philadelphians throughout the area.  Last year’s drive was a great success.  Let’s make this year even better!
