April 2021 Ms. Jen & Mr. Donner

Hello Parents,

April came and went with all of the excitment the beginning of spring brings.  The Ks went on a few different walking trips around the city and viewed famous sculptures and architecture.  They also celebrated the country of India and learned about different customs, landmarks and food.

We all cared for the chick eggs and then the baby chicks after they hatched.  We finished painting our auction painting and getting excited to display it at the Greene Towne Montessori School Annual Auction.  

A book we have read lately is The Art Lesson by Tomie De Paola.  The children really enjoyed it.  I would recommend reserving it at the library when you get the chance.  

Currently our painted lady caterpillars are in their chrysalis.  They will most likely stay in there for a few more days before emerging as butterflies.  We’ll observe and care for them for a day or two after they emerge and then we will release them on the play deck on a sunny day.

Your children are a joy everyday.  Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to guide them.
