03 Shadow Artists – Shadow Art Challenge

There are many incredible Artists that use Shadows in their work.

 

The following are just a few examples -Click the links to check out their work and then see if you can create your own Shadow Art. Collect objects from around your home, shine a light on a wall and  then arrange them to create a picture. Does it tell a story? Tell some one or write it down! 

 

Tim Noble and Sue Webster two British Artists that create shadow sculptures made from everyday objects and trash 

 

KUMI YAMASHITA – A New York based Japanese Artist who creates sculputers using light and shadow. 

 

Diet Weigman – A Dutch Artist creates beauty from junk!

 

Kara Walker – An American Artists who is best known for her room-size tableaux of black cut-paper silhouettes

 
Cornelia Parker – A Bristish Sculptor who creates installations that utilize shadows. 
 
Larry Kagan –   A German American who creates shadow sculptures using peices of metal.
