Hello everyone,

What a month March was! We had a lot going on this past month with the Annual Auction, Parent Teacher Conferences, Primary ADM visitors, the Lead Teachers’ trip to D.C. for the AMS conference, birthdays, the school year Spring Break and packing lunches, a building fire alarm test, the start of ADM alternative Spring Breaks, and the return of our beloved Ms. Dominique. We have been so busy!

The children have really fallen in love with the song, Let It Shine. We have a book that we sing along to at circle, and some of the children become very passionate while singing. At times when the children are being kind or helping another child, we might tell them, “I see your light shining bright.” I shared the recording with you, but I wanted to include it here. I also made sure that anyone with access to the link can listen to it. Here is the recording again: Let It Shine: Toddler ADM

Another song that the childre love is Sleeping Bunnies.

See the little bunnies sleeping til it’s nearly noon
See if we can wake them with a merry tune
Oh how still. Are they ill?
No! Wake up soon!
Hop little bunnies, hop, hop, hop
Hop little bunnies, hop, hop, hop
Hop little bunnies, hop, hop, hop
Hop little bunnies, hop hop hop

Alternative Spring Breaks

As staff have begun to take their alternative spring breaks, the children have become very vocal and curious as to our whereabouts. We have been discussing adults’ vacations at circle and asking the children what they think the adult is doing on their vacation; and we have also been reassuring them of our return. Your child may come home and ask you where an adult is, and you too can reiterate that the adult is on vacation and have a conversation about what vacation might look like for that adult. Ms. Jasmine, Ms. Sydney, and Mr. Qays have all taken their alternative spring breaks. The next breaks are:

Ms. Michelle: April 22nd- 26th

Ms. Dominique: May 6th-10th

 * Ms. Dominique will also be away May 2nd & 3rd– she will be in Princeton to finalize her Montessori Training.
