Kindergarten Trip to Reading Terminal Rewind
Recently the Kindergarten students, parent volunteers, and staff went to the historic Reading Terminal Market. This annual Kindergarten field trip is a big hit, and not just because of the special snack! First the group took the 48 SEPTA bus from school and walked to the Terminal. From there, we split up into several groups and went on a scavenger hunt! The groups had to find stores that sold a variety of items including seafood and produce, as well as stores that had distinct features like the creperie with the Eiffel Tower on their signage. Finally, we stopped by to say hello to Filbert the Pig.
After the hunt, we met at the food court seating area and had pretzel sticks from Miller's Twist. They are a real treat if you haven't had a pretzel from there! After snack and drinks, we decided to take the trolley back to school. So many friends were very excited about riding underground!
Field trips are just a small part of the robust Kindergarten program at Greene Towne. Thank you so much to the parent volunteers and staff that make these trips possible!
Thank you to Hank's family for sharing these photos!
