Chilly fall mornings mean sweaters and jackets! Help your child be independent with the “Up and Over” technique that we use here at school:
Place the coat on the floor upside down in front of your child with the neck and sleeve openings directly in front of the child.
Instruct the child to put his/her arms into the sleeves.
Have the child push his/her arms through the sleeves.
In a single sweeping movement, the coat is pulled “up and over” the head as the arms go into the sleeves.
The coat is on!
Ms. Laura’s older Toddler students show the younger friends how the “Up and Over” technique is done!
