Dear Greene Towne Parents,

Warm greetings and best wishes that you all are happy and healthy. Having the opportunity to be together in-person is something that us teachers never considered a luxury until the past year, but it is something that we no longer take for granted. We feel profoundly fortunate to be able to spend time with our students and to watch them spend time together each day.

As the year moves forward, we are just so delighted with the progress our class is making. Our kindergarteners have so gracefully assumed their roles as leaders for younger students and, in doing so, have instilled in them a strong motivation to work towards taking up that mantle in due time. We are just beyond proud of the work our students are doing for themselves and for each other.

As we head into Spring conference season, we look forward to speaking with each of you about our goals for the remainder of the school year. If you haven’t yet filled out the pre-conference notes form, we invite you to do so – this will allow us to target our conversation to your particular concerns.

One final thing – we are starting a new art project soon and would like to ask for your help. If you can bring in sticks (of about the circumference of an adult finger and the length of a child’s arm), we will be putting them to use soon. If you find them on your walks to school, in your neighborhood, or anywhere else, please send them in. We’d love to have them and I think our students will have a lot of fun with this surprise project.

Warmly,

Mr. Patrick & Mrs. Buonadonna
