Hello Parents,

It’s hard to believe that the school year is coming to an end. We are so happy to have made it through the year considering it started with so much uncertainty. I am so thankful to have witnessed your children grow, develop, and become such independent, kind, funny, joyful, social beings. Ms. Maeve and I thank you for allowing us to be part of your children’s first step into their educational journey.

“To stimulate life, leaving it free, however, to unfold itself–that is the first duty of the educator.”

Maria Montessori

The children were very excited to learn about the life cycle of a butterfly. They watched the caterpillars grow and change with curiosity. They were excited to say goodbye to the butterflies as we released them on the play deck.

The last day of school is Thursday June 16th. The children will receive their butterfly wings and have an Ice Cream party that week. Toddlers receiving wings at the end of the school year has been a tradition for several years. It’s the way the toddler teachers say goodbye to the children as they move on to the Primary classes. It’s usually bittersweet!

May was filled with so many fun activities!

The playdeck is so beautiful at this time of the year and the children are enjoying watering and observing the beautiful plants and  flowers. They watched the strawberries grow and learned when was the right time to pick a strawberry. Eating them was the best part!

We got to visit the chicks in Mrs. Bonwell’s class and Happy Hair Day was so much fun!

Enjoy the photos!
