Hello Parents,

We are now in our last week of the Cozy Plan. We had so much fun getting to know the children and teachers in Ms. Cherise’s class. All the children have developed bonds with the teachers and children. We are so excited for the move. As I said in the coffee, a wonderful transition for the children moving into the new space is for each child to bring in a plant on the first day back. I will have the children give their plant a name and they will decide where in the classroom they would like it to live. They will take care of it and watch it grow.

The children are going through a huge language explosion! And for this reason, we are continually changing the work on the language shelf. We are identifying the words fruit and vegetables and sorting  fruit and vegetables into categories.

The children are now able to identify their name and are learning to identify other children’s names. We are learning about the continent of Antarctica and learning about arctic animals.

“The development of language is part of the development of the personality, for words are the natural means of expressing thoughts and establishing understanding between people”.

Maria Montessori

We made fake snow and had fun getting a little messy!

Kindergardeners read to us! Primary students made us a bouquet and some came to show us their work.

Enjoy the photos!
