Just before winter break, the children were buzzing with excitement, as you would expect. Of course, ornaments were made and dreidels were spinning everywhere, but the children’s joy was not limited to the holidays. They had just as much enthusiasm and laughter for everyday, personal experiences. Whether it was making a new friend, celebrating a birthday, anticipating an upcoming visit from a family member, learning something new, or just the possibility of a little bit of snow, faces in our classroom were bright and beaming.

In January, we finally got to play in the snow everyone was so excited for! In a spark of ingenuity, some of the children decided to repurpose the stilts that we have on the Playdeck as snow shovels. They made a valiant attempt at building a “snow castle” with the newly fallen, fluffy snow. 

Now, we are steadily returning to our consistent routine, which always brings a sense of comfort, safety, and self-confidence, encouraging the children to spread their wings and explore new learning opportunities.
