Happy new school year!

Your Friday folder has a lot of goodies this week! (Next week be on the lookout for your car placards.) Besides the very important flip calendar, your folder also includes a new 2019-20 Greene Towne Montessori badge and lanyard. This badge identifies you as a member of the Greene Towne community. Visibly display the Greene Towne badge to administrative assistants at drop off and pick up times and as you come to Greene Towne events.

Each family is given three badges to be used by parents and regular caregivers. (If you would like to request an additional badge, contact Ms. Eileen in East or Ms. Vishica in West.)

A unique Greene Towne badge will be issued to families each new school year to use with the original lanyard. This badge identification is in addition to our regular systems of releasing children only to those who have been authorized by parents to pick up children. Staff will check picture IDs of individuals who are new as a designated pick up person.

The badges are one of the recommendations we received as part of a security assessment of Greene Towne that was conducted by the Philadelphia Police Department’s Homeland Security Unit last spring.  Thank you for sharing this commitment to safety and security with us!
