We had a full house this past Monday at Greene Towne’s Day of Service in honor of Dr. King. Families worked together to create birthday boxes for families in need, with impressively creative results! The boxes were filled with everything someone would need to celebrate a birthday, from cake mix and frosting to balloons and gifts. Finally, the boxes were decorated and/or wrapped.
A huge thank you goes to Rebecca Malcolm for organizing this event and Clare Jordan for helping families as project assistant!
We made 30 boxes and they are headed to Philadelphia’s largest family shelter, Families Forward Philadelphia. Thank you to the participating families that were able to come out and participate in our Day of Service!
