Parent Education Workshop: Applying to First Grade

Please join us Thursday, March 3, 4:00-5:30 pm to learn more about Applying to First Grade 

This workshop is open to all Greene Towne parents with special focus on our Kindergarten Class of 2023 families. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

• Learn practical and philosophical advice about selecting schools and applying/registering for 1st grade
• Meet guest speakers representing a variety of Philadelphia area schools 
• Hear how valued Greene Towne Kindergarten students are for 1st grade placement
• Demystify outside testing

Our expert panel this year includes 
Germantown Friends School representing Quaker schools and transportation.
Hyacinth Montessori to talk about continuing in Montessori for the Elementary years. 
A Philadelphia Public School parent to share the public school choice.
The Baldwin School represents single-sex education and transportation.
St. Peter’s School represents schools that end with 8th grade and Center City.
Sara Evans, Psy.D. will share details about testing.
