Practical life is a way to bridge the home and school environment. We have recently introduced flower arranging. We invite children to try flower arranging as it gives them the opportunity to beautify the space and the responsibility of setting up something special for the classroom. Flower arranging includes a number of steps including carrying a tray, scissor cutting and water transfer with a funnel. Your children use their prior experience with skills to complete this work.

These may look familiar to some of you. I wanted to share some of our favorite books. These are part of the Hello Genius book series. These books are perfect for your children as they teach about mannerly behaviors, self-calming and independence in a toddler-friendly approach. This whole series is great. The top two favorites with our class right now are Little Monkey Calms Down and Duck Goes Potty.

Auction time is approaching. The GTMS Annual Auction will take place on May 20, 2022. This is just around the corner. Your children are hard at work constructing our collaborative art piece. Here is a sneak peek of the kiddos at work.
