Welcome back Parents,

December is one of our most crafty months. There is so much to celebrate and explore. This is especially true in the art area.

The children did some Hanukkah crafts. Christmas trees, snowflakes and Santa hats were on the art shelf and we introduced snowflake stamping at the easel.

We also had some fun decorating our classroom door depicting the children as elves on the shelf watching in awe as their teachers frolic and engage in silliness.

Special Circle Time Reading

We enjoyed a special visit from a few kindergarteners from Mr. Patrick primary classroom. They were all siblings of current students in our classroom. Not so long ago they were toddlers themselves. They joined us at circle time to read a few books.

Sleeping Bunnies

As you all know there are times when the children need to let go and just shake their sillies out. One of their favorite songs for this at school is Sleeping Bunnies. Here is a little snippet of Miss Desiree during a rainy day circle time singing Sleeping Bunnies with the children. (Lyrics below)

Sleeping Bunnies
See the little bunnies sleeping till it’s nearly noon.
See if we can wake them with a merry tune.

Oh how still.

Are they ill?

No!

Wake up soon!

Hop little bunnies, hop hop hop,
hop hop hop, hop hop hop.

Hop little bunnies, hop hop hop,
hop hop hop, hop hop stop.

In the end the children always have this request, “Can we do it again?!”

Pizza Time!

Recipe of the month: English Muffin Pizza
