As a follow up to my letter to the community earlier this week, I would like to provide clarification regarding Greene Towne Montessori School’s immunization policies.
Greene Towne Montessori School adheres to Pennsylvania state law concerning immunization requirements for school-aged children. In accordance with the law, families may apply for exemptions based on documented medical conditions or sincerely held religious beliefs.
It is important to note that exemptions are rare within our school community. The vast majority of students are fully vaccinated, reflecting our commitment to the health and well-being of all members of the Greene Towne community. Students who are not vaccinated may be required to be excluded from school should there be particular local outbreaks for illnesses from which vaccinated children are protected.
Please let me know if you have any questions. I’d be happy to discuss.
Thank you, and happy spring break!
Sarah
