Hello families!

This is the first of regular updates that you will receive to follow along with our progress as we prepare our new home at 2140 Arch Street!

We are hard at work with our Project Manager Andrea Borelli of Savills, Inc., as well as our architectural team at L2P, on the design and timeline for the construction and fit-out of 2140 Arch Street, Greene Towne’s new home. As a reminder, this fall the classrooms and offices from our former West Campus will open in the new space, while the classrooms in 2121 Arch Street will continue there for the next school year. In Fall 2023, all of Greene Towne will be united in our new location.

In the past two months, we have been developing the building plans and design with the architects, choosing finishes, and preparing construction documents for the general contractor. The building’s owner, PMC Property Group, has begun the foundational and systems work to prepare the space for our contractor. Once we have received approval of our plans from the city and DHS, construction is expected to begin in May.

Thank you to those who were able to take part in our series of Community Forums. It has been invigorating to have so many facets of our broader community come together to share their thoughts as we embark on this major transition. We are truly moving through this major project TOGETHER, and I look forward to creating more ways for us to continue to share as we do. Keep an eye out for a survey coming in April, which will be an additional opportunity to share input as we prepare for this transition as a school family.

At our Community Forum meetings, a bedrock strength of Greene Towne that rang true for all groups was the strong community that we create and enjoy together. Our strength as a community is a source we can draw upon as we move through this transition. Thank you for being part of it.
