Hi All!
What a month it’s been! I guess we can say, what a year it’s been! We cannot believe we have completed the school year! We have had such a blast together, and we cannot thank you and your child enough for being part of our Buckeye Community. This blog captures what has happened throughout the end of school year portion of June, as well as Summer Session. We hope you have a great summer!
Every year, all of the toddlers celebrate the last day of school by receiving butterfly wings. The wings signify the changes and growth the children have made from fall to spring. At Circle, we discussed how they learned so many things throughout the school year and how we are so happy to have each other in our Buckeye Community! During recess, all toddler classrooms got to fly around and celebrate the school year!
We juiced some lemons, learned how tart they are, and even got to add some of the juice to our water. The children called it their “fancy water.”
Ms. Cherise (School-Day Toddler Lead Teacher and Summer Camp Coordinator) includes the All-Day Programs in special summer activities. We are so happy that we get to participate! Summer Camp’s theme this year is “Camp Around the World.” The first week of Summer Camp focused on the continent of Asia. Ms. Desiree came to visit and held a cooking class for us. She had the children make mango sticky rice.
Other activities we have done so far throughout our Summer Session are Water Play days, Soccer Shots, and going on walks throughout the neighborhood!
