Welcome back Parents,
We explored Europe this week!
English Tea Party
We kicked off the week with an English tea party courtesy of Miss Desiree. The primary ADM children made a lovely spread of cheese sandwiches, biscuits and berry tarts.
The Clay Studio
The Clay Studio returned and the primaries molded food items out of clay. Some made European pastries, pretzels and pizza.
Toddler Art
Meanwhile, the toddlers worked on clay as well creating mosaic paperweights. Each of them took a lump of clay and pressed a variety of objects in it including small tiles, sea glass marbles and buttons.
Mad Science
Our friends from Mad Science returned for their final summer visit with a workshop titled Shapes and Structures.
The children discovered different shapes and structures by using felt for a 2D assemblage and Magna Tiles to create 3D structures. They discussed 3D shapes such as cylinders, cubes and pyramids that can be found in everyday objects. They enjoyed a little time popping the ultimate spheres: bubbles!
Soccer Shots
This week in Soccer Shots, the children tried out a new skill called scissors. They traced one foot around the ball and did a side kick with the other.
Goal scoring is an exciting feat for toddlers and primary children alike. Here are a few of our primary children doing a happy dance after scoring their goals. HAPPY DANCE
Just one week to go!
Enjoy your weekend!
Warm regards,
Cherise
