Welcome back parents!
Mali Inspired Masks
Our primary classroom made African masks. They embellished their masks with paint, raffia and cowrie shells.
Inspired by masks of Mali with an emphasis on texture and pattern.
Baking Om Ali
The toddlers baked Om Ali with Miss Desiree. Om Ali is an Egyptian bread pudding. Miss Desiree’s version is nut free and made with oat milk and warm spices.
Soccer Shots
The children enjoyed another round of soccer drills.
They begin each session by going over the rules.
Rule number 1: Listen to your coach
Rule number 2: Believe in yourself
Rule number 3: Try your best
Changing speed was practiced today. This is achieved by making tiny kicks with the ball to keep it close while moving slowly then quickly.
The children also engaged in a scrimmage aiming their ball at goal placed on opposite sides of the room.
